SAN DIEGO (April 18, 2013) – Photo Video West, the West Coast's largest educational photo and video show taking place April 27-28 in Del Mar, CA is proud to welcome widely acclaimed portrait, lifestyle and fine art photographer Jim McHugh to its line-up of world famous speakers. McHugh, who has appeared on the covers of Architectural Digest and is one of the original contributing photographers for People Magazine, will share his photography expertise in "Stories from a Viewfinder" on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, respectively, said Ken Loyst, co-producer of Photo Video West.

Known for his humor and easy manner, McHugh shares stories and pictures from his globe-traveling career in "Stories from a Viewfinder" sponsored by Delkin Devices. A master of many photo-technologies, Jim eagerly welcomes questions about digital photography, printing, and analog photography, as well as topics like Fuji and Polaroid instant films, and how to get the most of out of your Delkin products.
A modest master of both digital and analog photography, Jim McHugh's portraits of top celebrities like Tina Turner, Clint Eastwood and Jay-Z have graced the covers of People, Entertainment Weekly, TV Guide, and more. Jim worked with the Grammy Awards for a decade creating "The Grammy Image Project," a series of unique celebrity images and a traveling exhibition that chronicled the history of contemporary music. The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs recently exhibited "Let's Get Lost: Polaroids From The Coast," a 30-year collection of photographs by McHugh highlighting the iconic architecture and personalities of Los Angeles and of Hollywood, evoking Hollywood's golden era. He has exhibited both nationally and internationally, and has won several awards including the 2010 United Nations ICP Professional Photography Leadership Award. McHugh currently serves as Vice Chair of the Advertising Photographers of America, Los Angeles.
Previously known as Photo Expo West, the new-and-improved Photo Video West returns with an added focus on videography, printing, framing, and mobile imaging. Photo Video West takes place from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 27 and 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 28. Advance tickets for a one-day pass are $12 per person. For those who want to attend both days, weekend passes are available in advance for $20 per person. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Museum of Photography Arts (MOPA) in San Diego.
